Congratulations Kim and Zach!!

You could say their shared love of music brought Zach and Kim together—and to Music City, where they’ve started their careers and their life as husband and wife. When they met at Berklee College of Music, Zach was studying drumming and music business and Kim was focusing on sound engineering. They’ve both continued on those paths, with Zach drumming with the band Howling Giant in addition to his work at the Tennessee Brew Works and Kim working as a sound engineer at a downtown venue.

When Canada-born Kim’s immigration status threw their future together into question, the couple decided to hustle up their wedding plans and tie the knot, with their parents present, on a lovely day last fall. What they wanted from their spring ceremony at the Cordelle was a big party full of love and laughter (and of course amazing music) —and they accomplished it in a big way.

This was one of the most beautiful, fun, and unique weddings I’ve ever photographed. Zach, the groom, and a few of his bandmates/groomsmen completely rocked out for the first part of the reception – entertaining the entire party and almost blowing the roof off The Cordelle. The wedding guests (yes, even Kim in the front row) were dancing, head banging, and hair whipping like they were at a sold-out rock concert with their favorite band. It was AMAZING.

Kim was a captivating bride with her stunning beaded gown, red lips, long dark hair, and exotic bouquet. I must also say that I’ve never seen a bride rock glasses quite like Kim. Her black frames were lovely and added another style element to her entire enchanting look.
