Megan and Cody’s springtime wedding at Riverwood Mansion was full of elegance, charm, love, and bright smiles. Finally, after months of patience, these two tied the knot during a stunning spring celebration at one of the most picturesque venues Nashville has to offer! When they originally planned their Riverwood Mansion wedding in Nashville, TN for April of 2020, Megan and Cody definitely didn’t anticipate their plans to be postponed.
What a blessing it was to capture their incredible spring wedding day – even though it was an entire year past their original wedding date. I feel like I’ve known Megan and Cody forever at this point. We worked together on their engagement session all the way back in 2019. Seeing their planning and patience culminate in the most exquisite way possible was incredible for everyone!
About the Venue
Riverwood Mansion weddings offer couples a unique venue full of gardens and greenspace. With the southern charm of a historic mansion, this venue in Nashville, TN provides both indoor and outdoor ceremony and celebration options. Complete with towering trees, a welcoming feel, and immaculate gardens, weddings here are breathtaking.
First, to start off the evening, Megan slipped into her incredible off-the-shoulder gown and she shared a few tender moments with her mom while she was getting ready. Then we took stunning bridal portraits in the bridal suite before we ventured outside for the first look.
After sharing the brightest smiles during their first look, we took portraits in front of the towering Magnolia trees in the front lawn. Between snuggles, laughs, and kisses, it was so obvious that these two couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle to say I do.
Next, Megan’s bridesmaids joined us for portraits in front of the stately columns of the mansion. Their elegant white rose and greenery bouquets from The Enchanted Florist were the perfect pairing with the bridesmaids grey gowns. Smiles and cheers abound, these eight best friends celebrated alongside their dear friend the entire day.
And can we talk about the statement the groomsmen’s navy blue suits made? This was one classically dressed bridal party! This full bridal party in front of Riverwood Mansion made for some of my favorite bridal party photos yet!
Finally, Megan walked down the aisle. After years of anticipation, the happy couple made promises of forever to each other. Seeing these two celebrate up the aisle after the ceremony was incredible. Even better, we were met with the most perfect golden sunset for more photos after their ceremony!
Their Riverwood Mansion Reception
Welcoming them into their tented reception were friends and family from all over. White hydrangeas, white roses, and greenery donned incredible tall floral arrangements on tables throughout. Matching flowers cascaded down a breathtaking 4 tiered cake. Hands in the air, they sang at the top of their lungs all night long. This bride and groom couldn’t have been happier to be alongside their favorite people.
At the end of the night, they exited in true Auburn football-fan style. Navy and orange pompoms lining the way as they escaped to their Rolls Royce getaway car. Megan and Cody’s wedding at Riverwood Mansion was nothing short of a dream.
