Congratulations Anna Marie and Spencer!

Anna Marie and Spencer finally tied the knot during this incredible Nashville winter wedding!! The newlyweds have been together for about 10 years now, and some would have said that the title of Mr and Mrs was long overdue for the pair. They are both incredibly smart (they met in a math graduate school), beautiful, and huge hearted. They both also have enough stamina to dance for about 4 hours straight with little to no rest. Each of their families had the same energy and never left the dance floor!

The Lodge (about 30 minutes from downtown Nashville) was the perfect wedding venue to bring their families and friends to witness and celebrate their nuptials. The ceremony took place in front of a gorgeous wall of windows that seem tall enough to reach the sky. There is also an enormous wall of windows on the opposite side of the room which helps bring in the incredible lighting and really brings in the feel of the outdoors.

Anna Marie and Spencer saw each other for the first time before the ceremony during a private ‘first look’ in the courtyard. From that moment on, the two were relaxed, overjoyed, and so excited to say ‘I do!’. We then took their portraits all around the property of The Lodge. It’s winter, so there is not much color in the dense forest and walking trails – which is good because Spencer likes it better without the green! We were blessed with a gorgeous (but cold) day with abundant sunshine, which we used to warm up with, and get some incredible backlit portraits. The bridal party wore different colors and styles, which looked really cool and eclectic.

My favorite moment of the day: Anna Marie’s emotional walk down the aisle (oh.my.gosh… I was bursting into tears behind the lens). Look for it and have some tissues handy!
