The Cordelle Nashville Wedding Venue

Congratulations Kirsten and Scott!!
For Kirsten and Scott, a random Wednesday happy hour (four years ago) started the love story that brought them to their dream wedding day at one of Nashville’s premiere wedding venues, The Cordelle. The Cordelle is a hidden gem in the Rutledge Hill neighborhood of Nashville. It’s a Victorian style, tall and slender brick home from the 1800s that’s been resurrected as one of the most beautiful wedding spaces in Nashville. If you’re looking for an historic backdrop with beauty and charm, The Cordelle Nashville is the perfect place. The front of the house and the upstairs loft have both been restored to the original Victorian style with exposed brick that’s as comforting as it is breathtaking. Abundant natural light and modern furnishings in the loft add a couture feel and creates a dressing room that’s becoming one of the most sought-after in Nashville. Kirsten looks like she’s modeling for a high-end couture wedding magazine in her bridal portraits. Just scroll down to see!
The large 4,000-square-foot courtyard right off of the porch makes guests feel like they are in a beautiful, lush, and peaceful country setting. Kirsten and Scott said their vows in the courtyard in front of friends and family on March 24th – a day that was unseasonably warm with an overcast sky that made for the softest, most beautiful light. Their reception was in the Great Hall just off of the covered porch – although many guests continued to enjoy the outdoors by using the tables on the porch to mingle all night long in the surprisingly warm evening.
Kirsten and Scott are a truly amazing and lovely couple. They live in Washington, D.C. and are extremely busy bodies who work hard and put their heart into everything they do. If they find some free time, they love playing board games – a love which they bonded over during their first conversation together.
Since theirs was a destination wedding in Nashville, almost every guest travelled to Tennessee from another state. I absolutely love photographing destination weddings because I tend to always find that I have a connection with the people I meet. We found out during our initial e-mails that Scott was a University of Pittsburgh graduate, as am I. Go Pitt!! It’s a small world, people!
If you missed their fun summer Nashville engagement session, click here to check it out. They are so much fun.
One very special thing you’ll notice as you look through the photos is the amazing calligraphy and artwork on glass and wooden signs, as well as place cards and dessert labels. Kirsten’s dear friend Kristie Jen is the incredibly talented artist who created all of the custom pieces for the wedding. Her custom design company is called KLJ Designs, which you can find on her Instagram page and her website.
