Today, we are showcasing the stunning Riverwood Mansion Wedding ceremony and celebration uniting Caitlin and Thomas.
Sometimes, life has a roundabout way of coming together. Caitlin and Thomas actually met several years ago through mutual friends. They worked together shortly after they graduated college, and their friendship came easily. However, life took them on different paths for a little while. Then, they reconnected when he suggested that Caitlin apply for a job at his new company, and this time is was more than friendship. From there, the rest was history!
Thomas proposed in beautiful Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. They went to Atlanta to see their favorite band play a reunion show, and he proposed on a walk through the park. That would have been romantic enough, but it didn’t end there: he surprised Caitlin with a limo that was waiting to take them to dinner and the show.
What make a Riverwood Mansion wedding so special?
So, knowing this amazing couple’s backstory, you could probably guess that their wedding day was nothing short of amazing! A few minutes east of Nashville is a gorgeous historic property called Riverwood Mansion (one of my favorite wedding venues in Nashville). Named to the National Register of Historic Places, Riverwood Mansion was visited by eight United States Presidents during the 19th century. Despite its close proximity to the city, the grounds showcase huge magnolia trees and lush gardens. The mansion itself takes you back in time with large white columns and sparkling chandeliers. The place is both charming and luxurious – exactly what Caitlin and Thomas wanted for their big day.
She looked radiant in her white gown and lace sleeves, and as soon as their eyes met across the aisle, everyone could tell these two were meant for each other. He can make her laugh without even saying a word. That was how their whole day went from start to finish: lots of laughs, and lots of intimate moments as they savored every minute of the day together.
And a huge thanks to all of the phenomenal Nashville wedding vendors who carried out their vision:
