Julia and Hunter – both extremely busy professionals in the medical field – had the most perfect downtown Nashville wedding at Acme Feed and Seed.  The day started at the impressive Hilton downtown where Julia and her bridesmaids were getting ready. I walked into the room and I was floored by how many bridesmaids she had – she had 10! Also floored by how stunning they all looked and how excited they all were for the wedding festivities.  Julia was finishing her makeup as I was thoroughly enjoying creating beautiful images of her exquisite jewelry, shoes, and hand drawn wedding program – it’s my most calming moment of the day and I get really excited when the details are this pretty.   I can’t even begin to discuss how incredible her engagement ring is!!

Once we arrived at the charming Benton Chapel on Vanderbilt’s campus, it was non-stop portraits for us in the unusually sticky fall heat.  Luckily, the church air conditioning cooled everyone off in between shoots.  Julia and Hunter shared a sweet private first look in the courtyard and the wedding day jitters were immediately calmed.  They exchanged heartfelt gifts – yes, there were tears shed (in front of and behind the camera).  It was so sweet!!  

Wild wedding trolley rides

After the wedding ceremony, we continued their Nashville wedding at Acme Feed and Seed in a party trolley.  I’m so glad that I rode with them – I was not expecting the dance party that broke out in the back of the trolley – but it gave me the opportunity to take some truly epic (and potentially embarrassing) photos.  It also turned out to be a preview of the night to come!

I seriously can’t tell you how much fun we had capturing this amazing day!  The reception had delicious food, beautiful decor, a lively group of amazing people (and awesome dancers), and a band that brought the house down.

With the help of Ashley at Posh Occasions and an amazing cast of the best Nashville wedding vendors, the wedding was everything Julia and Hunter had been dreaming of.
