Along with the new house, new city, new friends, and new neighbors, comes new traditions! We decided to ditch the old fake Christmas tree this year and start a new family tradition of going to a farm to cut down our own perfect tree. We found a tree farm in Hendersonville, TN called Christmas Tree Adventures. It’s about a half hour from our house, like everything else.
After a little Black Friday shopping, we decided that yesterday was the perfect day to find, cut, and bring home our tree. It was sunny and about 40 degrees, which feels GREAT to me (especially at 37 weeks pregnant). We thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the bon-fire and drinking hot chocolate before and after we found our tree. I’d recommend Christmas Tree Adventures to anyone in the middle TN area looking for a nice time while finding and cutting down their tree. The staff was amazing and so nice. If you don’t want to cut your own tree, you can always choose a pre-cut beauty.
We spent the night decorating the massive tree. It’s one of my favorite nights of the year – always with the Michael Buble Holiday Pandora station playing – and usually with a glass of wine or some Mad Elf beer to sip on. This year was a little different, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We can’t believe our little peanut will be here before Christmas and we will be able to enjoy the Holiday as a family of 4! WHAT!? At least the tree is up and ready, if nothing else!
Many Blessings to you and your family this Holiday season!!
