A wedding at Riverwood Mansion in Nashville brings with it all the southern charm and romance you could imagine. Hannah and Dustin’s spring ceremony and reception at Riverwood Mansion was charming, sophisticated, and a Nashville wedding photographer’s dream! A few months before the wedding, I photographed Hannah’s bridal portraits at Riverwood, and from that moment on, I knew their wedding day would be perfection.
Hannah began her day getting ready alongside her girlfriends. Laughter filled the room as I photographed the delicate details, including an heirloom sixpence for her shoe. Hannah is so exquisite and graceful in her gown – we were all left speechless after she got dressed.
The bridesmaids’ dresses were the perfect shade of light pink, and florals with ranunculus and peonies beautifully matched. We strolled the beautiful Riverwood Mansion gardens enjoying the Spring weather and the new blossoms on every branch. Next, it was time for a few more bridal portraits of Hannah on her wedding day. Then, Dustin and his groomsmen stepped outside wearing classic black tux’s. A few more photos with the guys and it was time for everyone to hide away!
Before Hannah made her way down the aisle, their dog and cat, Lou and Fitz, first trotted down to see their humans say I do. This was easily a favorite moment of the day as they stole the show!
Hannah & Dustin’s garden wedding at Riverwood Mansion was soon full of laughs and a few tears as they made promises of a lifetime to one another. After that, it was time for the bridal party to have some fun during portraits! Then, Hannah and Dustin got to be alone for some sweet snuggles and giggles before it was time for their party.
The Reception
We made our way to the incredibly beautiful tented reception at Riverwood! No detail was forgotten here! From their pet themed signature drinks (the Lou Fly and the Fitz Spritz!) to cat and dog shaped cookies, these two made sure thier fur babies were included. Tall florals throughout the space were perfect for this DC couple’s night to celebrate.
Finally, guests and the bride and groom danced the night away at their wedding at Riverwood Mansion. After rescheduling twice last year, I couldn’t have been more happy to see this. Celebrating and taking photos with some of their closest friends from not only Washington, DC, where they reside, but all over, had me smiling from ear to ear, too!
To finish their night, big smiles and cheers greet them as their sparkler send-off took them to their decorated Jeep to conclude their night!
