I am so in love with this fun and gorgeous backyard wedding in Brentwood, TN. The thoughtful attention to details, the fun and energetic personalities, and two beautiful families coming together and blending into one…what’s not to love!

Despite the hot, hot HOT heat of the day (almost 100 degrees!!) photographing the union between Jessica and Jon was truly special and unique. They have amazing style and their story is so special. Their relationship started in a professional setting and grew into a deep friendship and mutual respect, which eventually turned into a romantic union of kindred spirits. They joined their families together and are now one big happy, blended and bonded family including Jon’s two daughters and Jess’s son. Check out Jess’ amazing smile – you could tell she was having such a great day and thoroughly enjoying marrying her best friend while being surrounded by family and friends.

There are so many fun moments from this day. The sweet kisses between Jess and her son. The obvious bond between Jon and his daughters. The crazy, fun, glow-in-the-dark bubble guns during the reception (and s’mores at the bonfire)! Most of all, I especially loved the emotion Jess shared with her father. He has to have one of the biggest hearts I have had the pleasure to photograph and watching the way he looked at his beautiful daughter throughout the day was almost indescribable.

The details and fun elements incorporated in this wedding were so AWESOME! Champagne, cake, and colorful macarons in the dining room! A food truck in the driveway cooking up delectable eats! A whiskey bar in the office stocked with only top shelf spirits! I love how they were able to add such fun elements to their home in order to make their day truly “them” and unique. I especially loved how Jess and Jon’s bedroom overlooked the backyard…Jess could watch as all of the guests arrived and patiently waited for her walk down the aisle. What a perfect waiting room for the bride!

It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you two Jess and Jon and documenting the beginning of your life together as husband and wife! Congrats!!
