Rachel and Hayden are two of the most beautiful people I’ve ever worked with. We met for the very first time on their wedding day, but you’d never guess it by looking at these images. We instantly connected. They were not camera shy and my camera absolutely loved them. Their natural beauty and wonderful personalities radiates in every photograph taken. An Acme Feed and Seed wedding is a great way to blend romance and excitement. Having a beautiful and kindhearted couple is one thing, but when they are surrounded all day with family and friends who share the same qualities, it’s an extraordinary day! Everything about this Nashville wedding was absolutely stunning and flawless.
What’s it like getting married at Acme Feed & Seed?
The bride and groom chose to get ready for their big day at separate venues. Rachel and all of her lovely ladies got ready at The Cohen Loft, a luxurious Nashville vacation loft with plenty of space to set up, relax, and spend some quality time together before the ceremony. With floor to ceiling window light and an exposed brick wall, I was practically drooling when I started Rachel’s bridal portraits there. The groom and his guys donned their suits at the Bobby Hotel, a slightly edgy, eclectic boutique hotel, which is a fun experience if you ever have the chance to dine or stay!
That morning, I think we were all a little nervous about the rain (100% definitely happening), but apparently the weather gods are always looking after Rachel (her sister told me she ALWAYS gets lucky with good weather) and we stayed completely dry during our outdoor portrait session. The overcast day actually provided the perfect lighting. We photographed most of the portraits at the grand columns of the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville. Rachel and Hayden live in Chicago and were so excited to experience the energy and history of Nashville together for their wedding day.
Bride and Groom first look at the War Memorial in Nashville
Their ‘first look’ moment had me teary eyed behind my lens. Hayden’s reaction was so genuine and sweet. Capturing their adoration for each other was so easy—they were both so natural and relaxed in front of the camera. If either one felt anxious before the ceremony, you would never know! They were just relishing in the moment.
After portraits, it was time to say, “I do!” Their ceremony and reception were held at Acme Feed & Seed, a super fun venue with all the right vibes for this travel-loving couple (and the best location in Nashville). I was blown away by the reception design. The florals by Enchanted Florist were phenomenal and really enhanced the luxurious look of it all. The food stations during dinner were absolutely remarkable, and The Band Entice kept everyone dancing all night long. When the guests needed a break from the dance floor, they were also entertained by Toni’s Caricatures (such a great, unexpected surprise at a wedding and fun treasure to take home) and Majestic Photobooth Co.
